Our Carrier-Specific Emergency HVAC Service Service

Looking for emergency hvac service on a Carrier system? Our technicians are factory-familiar with Carrier equipment — we work on Infinity 26, Infinity 24, Performance 17, Comfort 16 and the rest of the Infinity, Performance, Comfort lineup on a daily basis. Carrier systems often require specific diagnostic tools for Infinity series. Control board repairs are common on units 8-12 years old.

For emergency hvac service work specifically on Carrier, the playbook is different than for a generic system. Carrier runs proprietary control boards, communicating thermostats, and sometimes brand-specific TXV valves and refrigerant charge specs. We carry the brand-specific parts catalog access and the diagnostic software (where applicable) to do the work correctly.

What Carrier Emergency HVAC Service Actually Costs

Carrier emergency hvac service typically runs $245–$995 in South Bay. Premium-tier brands like Trane and Lennox can run slightly higher on parts, but our labor rate is the same regardless of brand. We always quote up-front and never charge overtime.

10-year parts warranty on most units when registered. Compressor warranties up to lifetime on select models. If your Carrier system is still under warranty, we handle the OEM parts sourcing through Carrier's distributor channel and submit the warranty claim on your behalf — you pay only labor.

Common Carrier Issues During Emergency HVAC Service

When we run emergency hvac service on Carrier systems, the issues we find most often are:

  • Infinity control board failures
  • Compressor issues in older models
  • Refrigerant leaks at service valves
  • Blower motor capacitor failures

Carrier Customers Keep Coming Back

The inventor of modern air conditioning — and we honor that with our service. Every technician we send for Carrier emergency hvac service has had factory-specific training on Carrier equipment. We use factory certified parts (preferring OEM Carrier parts where available) and document the work with a written report including the readings, the parts replaced, and the system performance verification.

Up to 26 SEER2 on Infinity 26 models. Variable-speed technology for optimal efficiency. Maintaining that efficiency over the system's lifespan requires the kind of regular tune-up work most homeowners skip — and most general HVAC shops don't do correctly on premium Carrier equipment.

Annual tune-up, very thorough

Three-year-old American Standard system, on the maintenance plan since install. They check refrigerant subcooling, static pressure (mine was 0.42 in. wc — borderline high, they recommended a return upgrade), and amp draw on the compressor. Cleaned the condenser, blew out the drain pan with shop-vac, replaced the 4" Honeywell media filter. Comprehensive. They actually do what they say they'll do.

No heat at 6 am, fixed by 9

Temperature dropped to 41°F overnight, furnace wouldn't ignite. Called at 6:18 am — tech was at our place by 7:40. Diagnosed a failed pressure switch (proved it with a manometer test), had the OEM Honeywell SmartValve part on the truck, swapped it. Also found a partly-clogged condensate trap was kicking the secondary safety. Fully tested under load before he left. House was 70°F by 9:30.

Ductwork leak test + sealing

Two upstairs bedrooms were always 8°F warmer than the rest of the house. They ran a Duct Blaster pressure test — measured 24% leakage at 25 Pa, way over Title 24's 5% target. Replaced two collapsed flex ducts in the attic, sealed plenum joints with Hardcast 304, and re-tested at 6%. Now the bedrooms hold within 2°F of the thermostat. Real diagnostic work, not guesswork.

New 4-ton system for a 2,400 sqft home

Big house, complicated job — ran the load calc for our 4-ton Goodman 16 SEER2 install. Crew was professional, mostly on time. Had to come back once because a thermostat wire was nicked in the closet. Fixed in 15 minutes, no charge. Final permit signoff went through Carson City permit office without issue. Solid, dependable work — would've been 5 stars without the wire issue.

Service for our 5-ton package unit

We run a small warehouse — Trane voyager 5-ton on the roof, used to take a full day for our last vendor to service. RedAlert sent two techs, did the PM in three hours, replaced two damaged contactor poles, identified an economizer linkage issue, and didn't charge for the linkage fix because they were already in the panel. Pricing is fair, billing is straightforward. Switching all three of our properties to them.

Furnace no-start during cold snap

Naples-area home, 1953 build, 90% AFUE Goodman that's only 4 years old. Tech ran through the ignition sequence on his diagnostic tablet — flame sensor was reading 0.4 µA (needs 1.0+ µA). Cleaned with Scotch-Brite and 320 grit, reading came back to 4.8 µA. Total visit: 35 minutes, $129 service charge. He could have sold me a $190 sensor — instead he showed me how to clean it myself next time.
